denim on DENIM

Denim is a cotton fabric made from colored cotton threads. Usually, a shade of blue, weaved together with uncolored, white cotton threads. It is usually woven in a twill, which makes denim garments sturdy and suitable for all seasons, working conditions, and daily use. When it comes to garment manufacturing, the denim industry is the one putting the most strain on the environment due to the washes, dyes, and chemicals used and the overall water consumption needed to make just one pair of jeans (currently around 2,000 gallons or 7,600 liters of water). While denim is one of the most polluting fabrics out there, it is also one of the most durable, making it the perfect fabric to upcycle with. I started this project to give new life to vintage jeans
